Yarrawonga Waco Santa Gertrudis Studs are situated in South West Queensland at Wallumbilla and Taroom.
The Bassingthwaighte Family started the studs in 1954 by grading up with Santa Gertrudis bulls.
Yarrawonga is the hub of the stud business for show and sale preparation, while 1000 stud breeders run on the properties Waco, Kiah and Kywong in the Taroom Wandoan area.

Welcome to Yarrawonga Waco
The largest and most successful Santa Gertrudis Sale in Australia is held at Yarrawonga annually when 200 bulls are offered.
Yarrawonga Waco celebrated it's 50th Sale over two days, starting with a welcoming Sale on Saturday 19th September, where 10 Females where offered averaging $8,843. On the Sunday, 130 Classified Bulls were offered with an average of $8,562 and 52 Commercial Bulls averaged $4,153. Yarrawonga Waco achieved the overall result of $7,122 for 198 lots, the highest average in the stud’s 50 year history. The grandstands were filled to capacity as many long time supporters and many new faces raised their glasses to half a century of Santa Gertudis achievements and history.
