Reserve Senior Champion Cow was won by Yarrawonga Tatiana (P) ET.

Reserve Senior Champion Bull was awarded to Yarrawonga Topper, sired by Yarrawonga Payday.

Yarrawonga Topper will be retained in the stud and already has some exciting calves on the ground.

Junior Champion Bull was won by Yarrawonga Vendetta (P). This exceptional young bull also won Junior Champion and Grand Champion Bull at the 2008 Sydney Royal Show.

Vendetta is sired by Waco Soldier and his mother, Yarrawonga Sarina was Junior Champion Heifer at 2006 Brisbane Show and Reserve Senior Champion Cow at 2007 Brisbane Show.

Yarrawonga Waco also took home first and second places in the Breeders Group class as well as Most Successful Exhibitor for Santa Gertrudis.

Most Successful Exhibitor award being presented to Louise Bassingthwaighte from John Gilchrist.

Brisbane Show Results 2008

A very successful day was had by Yarrawonga Waco at the 2008 Brisbane Show. Approximately 110 Santa Gertrudis led cattle were presented before judge Bill Dunlop from New South Wales.

Yarrawonga Waco Santa Gertrudis Stud also won the 2008 RNA Killarney Abattoirs High Points Achiever Stud, Hoof and Hook.- the most successful cattle exhibitor of the show.

The Bassingthwaighte family would like to congratulate Neil and Rosalie Watson from Watasanta Santa Gertrudis Stud, who were awarded Grand Champion Bull, Watasanta Big Banana.

Watasanta Big Banana is sired by Waco Odessy (P) who was purchased at the 2003 Yarrawonga Waco bull sale in partnership with the Leggett family from Hillside Santa Gertrudis Stud, NSW. Waco Odessy has since been sold by the partnership and is now owned by Ben Evans from Carntyne Santa Gertrudis Stud, Roma.
