Yarrawonga Scarf won the Senior Champion Female award for the David and Mary Bassingthwaighte memorial trophy presented by Louise Bassingthwaighte with the groom Jessica Naylor and Sally Connolly assisting at the presentations.
Following on from being awarded the Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis bull at the 2007 Sydney Royal as well as the Eidsvold Feature Show in April / May, Waco Samson continued to dominate the breed showing at the 2007 Royal Queensland Show in Brisbane when he was awarded the Grand Champion bull award.

Associate judge Tom Acton presented the Wyangarie trophy on behalf of Barry Hession to
David Bassingthwaighte who won the Sires Progeny Group with the Waco Freeman progeny.
Under the judging of Ian Walker, Ravensbourne, Blackall and associate judge Tom Acton, Croydon Station, Marlborough, Waco Sampson was awarded the Grand Championship.
Samson weighted 1240 kg with an eye muscle area of 140 sq cm and fat scans of 15/18 mm. Owned and exhibited by the Bassingthwaighte family, Wallumbilla, Samson will be retained for stud duties at Yarrawonga Waco.
It was a very successful show for the Bassingthwaighte family who were the most successful exhibitors as well as winning the Senior and Grand Champion Female with Yarrawonga Scarf and the Reserve Senior Champion Female with Yarrawonga Sarina.

John Gilchrist presented the John and Mary Gilchrist trophy for the most successful exhibitor to Louise and Alastair Bassingthwaighte.
The Bassingthwaighte’s were also successful with the Junior Champion Bull Waco Tom Tom, the Junior Champion Female Waco Treasure and the Reserve Junior Champion Female Yarrawonga Topaz. Yarrawonga Waco also won the Breeders Group and the Sires Progeny Group progeny of Waco Freeman.

The Breeders Group was won by the Bassingthwaighte family team that won the Talgai Santas trophy presented by Melissa Gadsby to groom Matthew Muller, with RNA steward Rory Comisky.
