Yarrawonga Sires

Yarrawonga Apache [PS] [ET] was kept out of the 2011 Sale team.   He was not a show bull, but still managed to be over 1000kgs as a two year old with a light preparation.   His progeny is showing his body capacity and constitution with good breed character.   His top selling son is Yarrawonga Enforcer (P), going to the Sargood Family, Manresa, for $40,000 at the 2015 sale.   Eighteen bulls have sold for an average of $6911.

With his dominant show career behind him (Brisbane Junior & Senior/Grand Champion), Corvette is going to shape the Yarrawonga herd for the future.  Being a moderate growth bull with exceptional weight for age, the consistent tremendous carcass and constitution attributes are like nothing that we have seen before.  Following in his father’s footsteps, Yarrawonga Fixer (P) took out Junior Champion Bull at the Brisbane show last year.  At only 19 months Fixer recorded an outstanding EMA of 137cm.  Corvette has had two sons retained in the stud.

Sire:   Waco Youthful (PS)

Detonator was the best weaner bull in the J drop.  In showing such great potential, we decided to put him in cotton wool, holding him away from the show team.  Mated in a multiple herd across the J heifers with one other bull, Detonator was the dominant sire.  For a young bull on his first calf drop to have such an outstanding strike rate of fifteen bulls in his first sale crop, is a feat that has not been matched by any other young Yarrawonga bull.

Sire:  Waco Xbox (P)

Yarrawonga Youtube (P) is one of the more impressive bulls that Yarrawonga Waco has produced for a while, with his excellent length, perfect sheath and modern day muscle pattern.    Youtube [P] was Senior & Grand Champion Bull at the 2011 Brisbane Royal Show.   His son Durable (P) and daughter Cosmo were Reserve Senior Champion Bull and Senior & Grand Champion Female at the 2015 Royal Brisbane Show and these were members of the winning sire’s progeny group.   Forty six bulls have sold for an average of $6686 and nine sons have been retained in the stud.    Top selling bulls have been Chapman [P] [ET], going to the Diamond H Stud for $40,000; Chairman [P] going to the Strathmore Stud for $22,000 & Cabernet [P] to the Talbingo Stud for $20,000.  Youtube’s [P] semen consistently tests up at over 90% normal sperm in his morphology tests.

The Don was purchased for $18 000 for his excellent muscle, fantastic temperament and perfect sheath.   These attributes are evident in his progeny and he looks to be a dominate sire for next year’s sale. With his great structure and breed character, being a PP just puts the cherry on top.

Zeus was retained in the stud for his muscle and constitution. These attributes, plus a huge growth pattern, are evident in his progeny. His dam, Yarrawonga A709,  is one of our top producingfemales and has been a successful embryo donor - four of her sons, Zeus, Cracker, Durable and Ducksnut have been retained in the stud. Zeus sons, Diligent, Diablo & Gambler have also been retained in the stud.   Echelon K162 (P) sold for $20,000 going to the Dangarfield Stud; L552 was purchased the Yarrawin Stud for $18,000. Twenty two sons have sold for an average of $6618.
