Yarrawonga Sires

Yarrawonga Apache [PS] [ET] was kept out of the 2011 Sale team.   He was not a show bull, but still managed to be over 1000kgs as a two year old with a light preparation.   His progeny is showing his body capacity and constitution with good breed character.   His top selling son is Yarrawonga Enforcer (P), going to the Sargood Family, Manresa, for $40,000 at the 2015 sale.   Eighteen bulls have sold for an average of $6911.

Yarrawonga Ekka was the best weaner of his group and was kept away from the show ring to mate him at an early age.   Unfortunately, he also fancied himself as a bit of a fighter and came off second best when he jumped a fence to face a bigger and older opponent. This will be his first and last crop of calves. A bull that appeared to have it all, great skin, moved well, with such sire appeal and muscle. Slightly little lighter in colour. We have retained one bull to keep in the stud.

With his dominant show career behind him (Brisbane Junior Champion, Senior & Grand Champion) Corvette is going to shape the Yarrawonga herd for the future.  Being a moderate growth bull with exceptional weight for age, the consistent tremendous carcass and constitution attributes are like nothing that we have seen before and are very evident in his progeny.  Following in his father’s footsteps, Yarrawonga Fixer (P) was the 2016 Junior Champion Bull, the 2017 Grand Champion in Brisbane, and topped it by being Champion Bull All Breeds at both Brisbane & Adelaide.  Twelve sons have averaged $13,666 – Eye Opener purchased by Munda Pastoral for $34,000, M286 purchased by the Jamar Stud for $42,500 and Gangster went to the Omeo stud for $16,000. Corvette has had seven sons retained in the stud.

Yarrawonga Dodger is a bull with a fantastic constitution, growth and excellent sheath. He was a show cows’ calf, off one of the best female Yarrawonga has produced. Unfortunately, he has a broken leg suffered when boxed with another bull in an embryo program. We should have one more season of calves to come

SIRE:   Dangarfield Tsunami

A son of Youtube that was retained in the herd to boost the female size.  A frame ten bull with fantastic breed character and perfect sheath.  He had a great result when it came to his females being classified and we look forward to using them in the stud.

THE DON was purchased for $18 000 for his excellent muscle, fantastic temperament and perfect sheath.  With his great structure and breed character, being a PP just puts the cherry on top. Last year, two sons sold for an average of $16,250; P&T Curr purchased Groover for $26,000.

Yarrawonga Efficient is as wide as he is tall. A bull retained for his South African heritage, was mated with one other bull and has come out the dominate sire. An early maturing bull with dark skin, soft and a temperament to please even the harshest of critics.
